Hamilton Wentworth District School Board
The program began in the fall of 2008 by being piloted in 2 HWDSB secondary schools (Delta and SJAM) and in the 8 elementary schools that transition to these schools. In the spring of 2009 three additional secondary schools and their associate schools will join the project. By the end of 2010 the goal is to have all secondary schools and their elementary feeder schools trained and using restorative practices. All staff within these schools will complete full training including the facilitation of “circles” Support staff will receive training in the concepts, language and strategies Senior officials will be provided with an overview of restorative justice

Hamilton Police Service
HPS will fully train all school officers in the use of RJ practices Patrol officers will receive training in the concepts, language and strategies Senior officers will provided with an overview of RJ practices All police officers will be made aware of RJ protocols as they pertain to their roles

John Howard Society of Hamilton, Burlington & Area
John Howard staff will receive awareness training Staff working with youth will complete full training including facilitation of “circles” Staff working with adults will receive training in the concepts, language and strategies .
